Coming into to school: While I did not take summer school, I still came in to work on several different days. Right after school ended, I volunteered to help teachers and students by hosting a 3D Printing workshop. During the workshop, I supervised the building of 2 Prusa I3 MK3S printers. We had future students build the printers.
During summer school, I continued to help out with finishing the 3D printers, and eventually some summer school students helped me out with converting one of the printers to have multi-material support.
For senior year I got promoted to Vice President of Engineering Club, so over the summer I reconciled with Mr. Schmidgall, to collect information about the history of Engineering Club at Glenbrook South. He’s been there since the beginning, so he was a great resource.
Finally, about a week before school started I came in with other members of the Engineering Club leadership board to prepare the Makerspace for the next school year; most notably installing our brand new laser engraver, and reorganizing the layout to fit our 3 new Prusa i3 MK3S’s.
